NOTE: If you need to access the Main Menu from the ENG meter screen while the VFader mode is active, you will
need to press and hold the MENU knob for approximately 1.5 seconds.
Transport Keys
SHIFTED
If the TC, A-MIX or ZNET key is pressed, the items associated with those keys will open. To go into Record, Playback or
Stop, it is necessary to SHIFT those keys. You will need to press the MENU knob to “SHIFT” while simultaneously
pressing the REC, PLAY or STOP key to go into that mode.
NOTE: It is still possible to directly access the REC, PLAY and STOP functions by pressing the appropriate key for 1
second. This is the most popular choice.
UNSHIFTED
Pressing the REC, PLAY or STOP key immediately puts Nomad into Record, Playback or Stop. To display the pages
associated with the TC, A-MIX or ZNET key, it is necessary to press the MENU knob while pressing the TC, A-MIX or
ZNET key.
GPI Remote Roll
“ON” allows Nomad to use a remote switch to start and stop recording.
To operate you will need to connect a toggle switch to the serial port closest to the back of Nomad. Do not connect the
switch to the USB port. For pin configuration please see the Connector Assignments in the back of this manual.
NOTE: GPI remote roll can not be used at the same time as Mix 8 / 12
Mix-8
ON” allows you to operate a Mix-8 fader panel with Nomad
Pan Copy
If you are using the ENG Home screen pan matrix to assign inputs to output buses, this gives you the option to have
output buses 3 / 4 and or buses 5 / 6 follow the same pan selection. This is useful if you are feeding the same source to
multiple cameras.
VFader Cycle
Virtual fader will allow you to mix all 10 channels right from the ENG Meter screen.
If VFADER CYCLEis activated, you can adjust the mix for inputs 7-10 right from the ENG Home screen.
The MENU knob will become the hardware fader for those inputs.
VFADER CYCLE lets you choose which inputs (if any) you want to be able to mix in the ENG Home screen:
NONE
7 ONLY
7, 8
7, 8, 9
7, 8, 9, 10
Shows which inputs will be
available when the Virtual
